Does your project require Mission, Capistrano, Espana or Barcelona Bird Stop?

In the west there are only two types of full S-Tiles: 11.5" or 12" wide. Eagle, known nationwide as Capistrano is always 11.5" wide.

The 12" wide tile, originally produced by Monier out of their Northern California and Phoenix plants is called Mission.

The independant company LifeTile, originally produced Espana at its Southern California plant . Espana is an 11.5'' wide product and therefore can use Capistrano Bird Stop.When Monier and Life Tile merged they created Barcelona which added to the confusion since it is only a color series. The proper Bird Stop to use with LifeTile Espana or Barcelona depends on where the tile was made.

In Northern California and Phoenix the 12" tile and would require the original Mission Bird Stop, but if the tile was produced in Southern California it would be 11.5" known as Espana and use the Eagle Capistrano Bird Stop.

Capital Sheet Metal has chosen to keep the Mission Brand for tile produced by LifeTile in Northern California and Phoenix, the Espana/Capistrano Brands for tile produced in Southern California.
